A Keepsake Box for a Traveler
A close friend asked me to make a special gift for his daughter at her college graduation. He wanted her to have a place to store the mementos and photos she would acquire on her travels. The place to store and hold precious things would itself be a precious thing.
This box is the gift he gave her. I’m proud that I could imagine and craft this very special item for a special friend.
The box is made of different species of wood found across six world continents — Hickory & Walnut, North America; Beech, Europe; Lychee, East Asia; Jatoba and Cocobolo, South America; and Mahogany, Africa.
